EDWinNET

EDWinNET is the conversion and movement of EDWinXP to a new platform, .NET. EDWinNET 1.10 version comes with all the features of EDWinXP with a better User Interface which makes it easier to use. EDWinNET 1.10 is an EDA Software Package for automated design of electronic products. All stages of electronic design process can be done with modules like Schematic Editor ,Layout Editor, Fabrication Manager in EDWinNET.

EDWinXP

EDWinXP is an EDA (Electronics Design Automation)software package for automated design of electronic products. This integrated tool covers all stages of electronic design process -schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout design, generation of PCB manufacturing and testing documentation. EDWinXP is a fully integrated package. Circuit designs can be front and back annotated i.e. a design may be started either from Schematic Editor or PCB Layout and design information is automatically updated.

The current version, EDWinXP 2.10 unveils a countless set of features, comprising of Schematic Editor, Simulators – Mixed Mode Simulator and SPICE based simulator EDSpice, PCB Layout Editor – Create the PCB Layout, Fabrication Manager – generate Manufacturing output files for Photoplotter, NC Drill etc, Thermal Analyzer – check for hotspots on the board, Electromagnetic Analyzer (with Signal Integrity and Field analyzer) – check for electromagnetic effects on the board. 3D Viewers and Editors, VHDL Editor with facility of automatic project creation from VHDL source and Converters (CUPL, JEDEC, XILINX), Microcontroller Simulation using 8051,AVR,PIC,Motorola Microcontrollers, 3D Library Editor, Model Generators from VHDL for Mixed Mode and EDSpice Simulators with facility of automatic creation of model/ library along with other features. DocOne

DocOne is a tool to assist the Design Bureau/Designer in integrating all the required information of a device. DocOne can be used to pack an EDWin project with viewers for Schematic and PCB Layout and all the related documentation on a single CDROM.

EDComX

EDSpice supports both Code Models and User-Defined Nodes via dynamic-linking in all Windows operating systems. Code Modeling is the process of creating new primitive elements and functions using the C programming language. It has become widely accepted and is seen as a better alternative to traditional ‘behavioral modeling’ and ‘macromodeling’ techniques. User-Defined Node types allow the specification of nodes that propagate arbitrary data structures and data other than voltages, currents, and digital states. Thus, allowing EDSpice to support mixed-level, as well as mixed-signal simulation and indeed, to support application domains well beyond the electrical domain.

The EDComX tool kit alleviates the time consuming process of creating both Code Models and User-Defined Nodes by automating the creation of standard files used to define Code Models and User-Defined Nodes. It achieves this by employing easy-to-use dialog windows for entering all relevant information.

EDComX also includes a special Code Model Preprocessor (CMPP), which similar to the C preprocessor that comes with your C compiler. It takes the standard files as an input describing the new Code Model in terms of physical attributes (including number of ports, type of data it supports, direction etc.) and it’s behavior (a C function(s) that computes the output of the model). EDComX converts them into .C and .CPP files allowing EDSpice to access information about the model at runtime.

The ultimate aim of using EDComX is to generate Code Models and User-Defined Nodes as Windows DLLs. Thus, all necessary .C, .CPP and .DEF files are generated.

Enterprise License Manager

Enterprise License Manager is a utility to keep check on the number of licensed users of EDWinXP in a network. It enables the users to activate EDWinXP in a networked environment. The system on which Enterprise License Manager is installed acts as the SERVER. After installation the customer can request for Activation code along with the number of licenses required. The distributor provides Activation code for the required number of licenses. Using this code, the customer can activate Enterprise License Manager.

For activating EDWinXP Evaluation version on client systems, select the Network Activation option and specify the SERVER name. Depending on the number of available licenses, clients are permitted to use EDWinXP. For e.g.: if five licenses had been purchased and there are already five users of EDWinXP in the network, the sixth user will not be allowed to use until one of them closes EDWinXP.
